Minnesota on a Cold War Warning to Start Valentine’s Day

Temperature Sunday morning

As the cold stretch continues, many people will experience the coldest Valentine’s Day in Minnesota’s recorded history. The record for the twin cities was set in 1920 when the high temperature was -5. The forecast for this Sunday is -8.

Sunday is also another day with dangerous cold winds, as the Twin Cities wake up to temperatures of -18 degrees and “feel like” temperatures of -38 degrees.

With such temperatures and wind colds, frostbite on the exposed skin is possible in less than ten minutes.

The entire state of Minnesota and much of Wisconsin is experiencing a cold snap warning throughout the morning.
