Whatsapp, which is owned by Facebook, is finally starting the feature of voice and video calling in Whatsapp web and desktop beta apps. Although Whatsapp mobile applications on Android and iOS have had a voice and video calling feature since 2015 and 2016. Since then, its popularity has increased and Whatsapp reached the 2 billion user mark earlier this year. Whatsapp is a leader in instant messaging applications with a market share of 44% and in second place its Facebook Messenger with 35%.

To make a voice or video call from the Whatsapp web or Whatsapp desktop app, you need to open a contact name to which you want to call.
