A report emerged earlier Monday that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had been diagnosed with COVID-19. While the organization did not initially confirm the news, Tomlin revealed himself in a statement to social media Monday afternoon.
“I want to thank everyone who cared about my health,” Tomlin said. ‘Happy I had minimal symptoms and I’m thankful I’m healthy. I want to thank the people in the media who knew about my situation and respected my privacy. It is much appreciated.
‘I will be back in the office soon as I continue to work virtually from my home. Thank you for your support and wishes! “
The Steelers closed their plant out of caution last week when several COVID-19 Tests returned positive.
