After the Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV, Leonard Fournette revealed that Tom Brady would send an SMS to teammates ‘We will win’ every night.
But that was apparently not all he sent.
In an appearance on “The Michael Irvin Podcast,” Evans said Brady sharpened everything he normally did during the season to motivate his teammates.
‘He was send us many tracks, lots and lots of film about what to expect at certain distances and distances, ”Evans via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. ‘And he does it all the time, but only in the playoffs and especially this game, he did everything above all else.
‘Like 12 at night, six in the morning. People are not even up, and he tells us that it will not work against this man. You have to manage it that way. It’s the detail that went into this, the extra meetings and all the hard work. It all paid off and Tom is an excellent leader. ”
Clearly, all the extra messages worked. It all contributes to the legend of Brady, who remembers or does not remember the praise he receives from his teammates, just as much as he remembers the criticism from the media.
