Last October, Microsoft rolled out the tabs synced on the devices for users inside Edge Dev and Canary Channels. Tab synchronization is not a new thing in browser country; Google Chrome and Apple Safari both offer it. Net load on you browser with tabs and then log on to another device and open the same browser with the same tabs. Now that feature is finally available to anyone using Edge, and may make it a compelling reason to switch to the Microsoft browser.

Edge Tab Sync Versioning works almost identically to Chrome: sign in to your profile, turn on sync, and you’re done. You can also browse as a guest and add multiple profiles, which is especially useful if you use different email addresses on the same computer but do not want the same tabs or even bookmarks to appear in different accounts. Each account is also opened in a new browser window, just like Chrome.

The new feature also syncs your browsing history on different devices – any device, be it Windows, macOS, iOS or Android. Again, this is just like Chrome, but for everyone who has it was get more worried about them privacy using Chrome, these two great features justify an easy switch to Edge.

Of course, Edge does not have the added benefit Chrome actions, what late you use the address bar as a command prompt so you do not have to go through your browser settings to change anything. But Edge is faster on both MacOS and Windows as Chrome, according to some of our recent tests, and there are many other features in development. Microsoft in beta channels has released numerous updates on privacy, productivity and performance. Some of the outstanding features include: areport if a user’s password appears in an online leak; to put inactive tabs to sleep to release system resources; and fill in the date of birth and vertical tabs automatically. It is scheduled along with all the other updates to run the week of Jan to the stable version of Edge. 21.

Edge has also improved on the privacy front. It was not an ideal browser to use before because it sent an identifier back to Microsoft’s servers. That should no longer be the case.
