Microsoft Whiteboard is now available in the Google Play Store

Microsoft Whiteboard, a handy collaboration tool for students and professionals, is now available as a public preview in the Google Play Store. The app provides a free-form intelligent canvas that can be used to “visually idea, create and collaborate via the cloud.” The tool has been available on Windows and iOS for some time and is now finally launching on Android.

Microsoft Whiteboard’s Play Store list reveals that the tool is designed for touch, typing, and pen input, and lets you draw, enter text, or paste sticky notes onto a free-form canvas. The app also features Microsoft’s intelligent ink technology, which can automatically turn your scribbles into professional tables and charts.

The canvas is updated in real time, helping dispersed teams work smoothly. Because it is a cloud-based solution, keep all your notes from your Microsoft account, and you can visit them at any time, including Windows and iOS devices, at any time.

If you are interested in trying Microsoft Whiteboard on your Android device, you can download it by following the Play Store link below. Note that the service is currently unavailable for personal accounts, and only supports education and business accounts. Since the app is currently available as a public preview, you can expect to encounter unwanted bugs and other issues. As some of the early reviews point out, Microsoft Whiteboard on Android in its current form is merely a web app. But that may change by the time a stable version appears in the Play Store.

The Microsoft Whiteboard preview on Android comes a few weeks after the company released a major update to its scanning application – Microsoft Lens. As part of the update, Microsoft not only renamed the app, but also changed its logo and introduced a range of new features. You can read more about this here.
