Microsoft Teams get new Dynamic View feature in March

Microsoft will update its Teams service in March with a new Dynamic View. This new view enables Teams users to share content side by side with participants. It looks ideally positioned for meetings where someone is presenting a sliding deck or as participants watching a live event together.

Dynamic content such as earnings reports, slides or videos can be displayed with other speakers. Currently in Teams, the video input of other participants is small when people screen or share screens. Microsoft’s Gallery View for Teams automatically optimizes itself with this new view and allows attendees to personalize the view.

It will also highlight active speakers, people who have virtually raised their hands, and allow participants to stick with dynamic content. This new Dynamic View, originally launched in July, will be available to all Microsoft Teams users in March, according to Microsoft’s 365 roadmap.

The use of Microsoft Teams has increased over the past ten months of the pandemic, and the service is now used daily by more than 115 million people. Microsoft has added features to Teams that feel monthly, with virtual breakout rooms appearing in December, along with an enhanced calling experience.
