Microsoft brings the Surface Duo later in February to Canada, the company said Thursday – and in the U.S., it made the dual-screen device available at a hefty discount. The Surface Duo, which was initially priced at $ 1,399 when it launched in 2019, can now be offered anywhere for $ 999 by customers. It is unclear whether this is a permanent price reduction in line with international expansion or just a limited supply, but we will update this space as Microsoft makes this clear.

The Surface Duo can be unfolded to design two OLED screens designed for multitasking.

“As a company, we will continue to deliver targeted innovation – to push the boundaries of existing categories to not only move technology forward, but also to move people forward,” said Microsoft Canada President Kevin Peesker. said in a blog post in which he announces the Canadian debut of the product.

The Surface Duo will be available in Canada on February 18 on the Microsoft Store’s Canadian website, Best Buy Canada, and other authorized Surface retailers.
