Microsoft Flight Simulator dev did not exclude an Xbox One port

Back in December, Microsoft announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator would launch for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S later this year, without the simulator coming to Xbox One. Now, Jorg Neumann of Asbo Studio has revealed that an Xbox One version may still be on the map.

Asked about Microsoft Flight Simulator and the older Xbox console, Neumann told Eurogamer: “Obviously memory is important. On Ultra settings you definitely need a big computer – well, it’s very, very more memory than you’ve had on an Xbox One, so it’s a journey, like most things, you know – let’s finish the Xbox Series X and S versions, and then we’ll look forward to it. We never close doors, and there are other options, though it’s a bit early to talk about it. ‘Eurogamer theorizes that a xCloud version of Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox One may be the right way, with xCloud servers that take all the effort and stream the sim to less powerful consoles.

Although you need a fairly powerful computer to run Microsoft Flight Simulator, Neumann says the X | S version of the flight simulator will be a ‘very similar’ experience, but not exactly the same.
