Mickey Callaway accused of abusive behavior by five women – The Athletic

Mickey Callaway, the former New York Mets manager and current pitching coach for the Los Angeles Angels, has aggressively pursued at least five women working in sports media, sent three of them inappropriate photos and asked one of them to send nude photos in return. He sends unsolicited electronic messages to them and regularly comments on their appearance in a way that makes them uncomfortable. In one case, he hid his cross near the face of a reporter when she was interviewing him. In another one, he told one of the women that if she got drunk, he would share information about the Mets.

The five women, who spoke to The Athletic on condition that they were not identified, said the actions of the now 45-year-old Callaway span at least five years, spanning several cities and three teams.
