The Michigan Department of Health on Saturday confirmed 5,530 new COVID-19 cases and 69 deaths.
Of the 69 deaths, 60 were identified during a major review record, which the department does three times a week.
Michigan now has a total of 785,307 confirmed cases and 16,840 deaths since March.
In the state’s latest update on vaccines, 87,795 doses were administered in Michigan on Thursday. The average of seven days for doses administered is 83,141, below the state target of 100,000 per day. Of the population aged 16 and over, 29.8% were fully vaccinated, aiming to have 70% by the end of the year.

Michigan had a positivity rate of 12.1% on Friday, reporting that 7,075 of 58,307 diagnostic test results were positive.
According to data from the Department of Health, the state has a mortality rate of 2.2% among known cases.
Michigan reported 87,877 likely COVID-19 cases and 1,087 likely deaths on Saturday. The probable cases together with confirmed cases make up a total of 867 624 cases and 17 858 deaths.
