Michelle Williams stars in the Peggy Lee Biopic, Todd Haynes’ ‘Fever’

Reese Witherspoon will produce the project about the legendary singer.

Michelle Williams drew Peggy Lee in a movie for the legendary singer, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed it.

The director is directed by Todd Haynes. Marc Platt, who produced Reese Witherspoon’s two Legal blonde Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon will co-produce the project with Witherspoon. Fever, based on a Nora Ephron screenplay, was delayed after Ephron died in 2012.

The film is now written by Doug Wright, who won the Tony and Pulitzer Prize for I am my own wife and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Quills.

Williams, a four-time Oscar nominee, stars in Fosse / Verdon, an FX series focused on Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon playing alongside Sam Rockwell. She received the Oscar nominations for her work on Manchester by the Sea, My Week With Marilyn, Blue Valentine and Brokeback Mountain.

Williams also won a Golden Globe in 2012 for her starring role in My Week With Marilyn.

Williams is being held back by WME, while Haynes is being held back by CAA.
