Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro could be quarantined after roommate tests positive for COVID-19

Miami Heat keeper Tyler Herro revealed Saturday night after a 105-104 win over the Sacramento Kings that he heard a roommate tested positive for COVID-19

Herro said he got the news at half-time and that he was not sure if he would have to go into quarantine due to possible exposure. His revelation comes the same night when All-Star forward Jimmy Butler returned after missing ten games due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols put in place for safe play during the coronavirus pandemic. Butler scored a season-high 30 points after missing 12 of Miami’s 18 games due to virus-related problems as the Heat ended a five-game losing streak.

The Heat also did not play with Kendrick Nunn on Saturday as he was waiting for a COVID-19 Test result when the match started. Nunn was cleared in the second quarter and could have played, but Heat coach Erik Spoelstra chose not to use him.

“We have been waiting for his test results,” Spoelstra said, as quoted by the Sun Florida Sun Sentinel. “At that point, he was not available in the first quarter, so I went in a different direction. … It’s just one of the unfortunate things. I think if this type of thing is going to happen, it will happen to us. . “

Herro had 15 points and three assists for the Heat, who were also without Goran Dragic and used their 14th series in 19 games this season.
