Following the announcement, the frontier restrictions will be lifted until April 21st.

The decision to restrict frontier routes is being produced when the United States sends a number of migrants crossing the border from Mexico.

United States, on the northern front, and Guatemala, in the south, have been affected by the travel restrictions since the pandemic began. Guatemala also imposed a travel ban on Mexico in February and demanded a negative result for the covid-19 test results.
