Mercury Trip, Culver’s yard JJ Watt returns to Wisconsin

The Green Bay Packers may not have to court JJ Watt again in Wisconsin as the No. 1 store chain and fast food franchise no. 1 is going to do most of the work for them.

Kwik Trip and Culver’s, two Wisconsin-based companies, both took to Twitter to help persuade Watt to return to his homeland and sign with the Packers.

Kwik Trip spotted the 17 spots in and around the Green Bay area. Culver’s pointed out that the state of Wisconsin has 142 restaurant locations.

The Houston Texans released Watt, a native of Pewaukee, who played for the Wisconsin Badgers. While with the Texans, Watt was an eight-time All-Pro and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The two parties divorced on Friday.

Speculation about Watt’s return home to play for the Packers dominated over the weekend.

The fit is almost perfect. Watt is playing in a Super Bowl, while the Packers have a need on the defensive front.

Watt will have many suitors. But can he really pass up the opportunity to play for the Packers and live close to so many Kwik Trip and Culver venues? When Watt makes the court, Green Bay may have some bait up his sleeve.
