Mercedes-Benz EQS MBUX Hyperscreen Reveal

Mercedes-Benz’s EQS may be a few more years away, but the German carmaker has worked hard on the project and has just unveiled one of its new innovative creations for the luxury EV: the MBUX Hyperscreen.

The entire screen, which spans a whopping 56 centimeters, replaces the conventional instrument cluster and infotainment system with 12 drives and a series of OLEDs under an anti-reflective Gorilla Glass touch surface, all powered by eight CPU cores and 24 GB RAM.

While it is undoubtedly a futuristic way to display everything from your speedometer to your music playlist or GPS navigation, the most important highlight of the MBUX Hyperscreen is the AI capabilities. Mercedes-Benz says the system will ‘proactively’ suggest ‘the right functions at the right time’ with ‘context-sensitive awareness’ optimized by observing changes in the environment as well as user behavior. Suggested features may include calling a certain contact if he knows that you are usually with them telephonically while driving or to adjust the ground clearance of your car depending on your location.

The MBUX Hypserscreen will soon launch alongside the EQS, which will be released somewhere between 2022 and 2023.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Jeep has unveiled its Grand Cherokee L.
