Mercedes-Benz announces next year the EQB compact 7-seater SUV

Mercedes-Benz today announced the upcoming compact SUV with seven seats and it will arrive in the USA next year.

Just one day after the unveiling of the EQS, the German carmaker is already drawing our attention to a new electric vehicle that will be launched on Sunday:

“Mercedes-EQ unveils the fully electric compact EQB SUV on Sunday, April 18, 2021. The EQB World Premiere @ Mercedes-EQ Night Shanghai takes place on the eve of the first press day of Auto Shanghai 2021.”

The vehicle will enter the competitive, compact electric SUV segment with peers such as the Tesla Model Y, Audi Q4 e-tron and Ford Mustang Mach-E.

Mercedes-Benz did not disclose much about the vehicle, but it did show the instant image above.

The German carmaker has also confirmed that it will be able to seat seven passengers and has a cargo area of ​​1700 liters:

“The EQB will, among other things, set a new standard in the electric compact class with its flexible space. It can accommodate up to seven passengers or a maximum of 1,700 liters of luggage. ”

While Mercedes-Benz is about to unveil the EQB, it plans to launch a production version extremely quickly.

It starts in China, then later this year in Europe, and in the US so next year:

“Following the market launch in China, the European version of the EQB will follow later this year and will also be available on the US market in 2022.”
