Meghan McCain hit the British monarchy on Tuesday’s episode of The View, declaring that “the American experiment is the right way to go.”
“I do not want to defend the monarchy,” McCain began with her outburst. “I’m a red-blooded 100% American who celebrates freedom anyway and always, so it’s uncomfortable to be in a position where I have to defend the monarchy.”
When asked what she thinks of English broadcaster Piers Morgan storming his show when asked about his journalistic treatment of the royal family, McCain – with her ability for conservative solipsism – dives first into a highly personalized game about what it means to be an American and a patriot to begin with.
