Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late six-term U.S. senator and 2008 Republican presidential candidate John McCain, sued a Republican committee in Arizona on Saturday for wishing her mother support for President-elect Joe Biden.
The Maricopa County Republican Committee on Saturday, according to the Republican Party, made a decision to condemn Cindy McCain for endorsing Biden as President Donald Trump. The move merely represents a symbolic disapproval of McCain, but the Republican Party in Arizona has indicated that the state party may soon vote on a similar resolution.
“Oh how will she ever survive something like this?!?” Meghan McCain tweeted. “And that’s the REAL problem facing the Arizona GOP, my mom! A few days after a domestic terror attack led by manic Trump supporters.”

Newsweek reached out to the Republican Party in Arizona for comment.
According to Azcentral.com, many of the county participants did not wear masks or socialize during the meeting held at Dream City Church in Glendale. The president acknowledged Biden’s victory for the first time on Thursday, but some speakers at the meeting falsely stated that Trump had won and would remain in power.
Cindy McCain officially endorsed Biden in September, less than two months before the 2020 presidential election. She also appears in campaign ads for the Democrat. At the time, she explained that she had exceeded party boundaries because she was ‘deeply concerned’ about the current state of affairs.
“What led me to this decision was like so many other people in the country. I watched what was going on, and I’m deeply concerned,” Cindy McCain told NBC. Today host Savannah Guthrie. “Joe Biden represents to me the kind of values and integrity and courage we want in the president, and someone I think would have my back as a citizen who lives and someone who lives in a neighborhood and has a family and all the other things people do. ‘
Following the news of the vote in the Republic of Maricopa Province, Cindy McCain tweeted: “I am a proud lifelong Republican and will continue to support candidates who put country above party and stand for the rule of law. . “
Meghan McCain has clashed with the Republican Party in Arizona on several occasions over the past few months. Last week, she told the party’s official Twitter account to “go to hell” in response to a derogatory tweet about her father.
