Gayle King says the Meghan Markle–Prince Harry interview with Oprah would have been temporarily 86 … if Prince Philip died after his journey to the hospital.
Oprah’s BFF revealed on Wednesday in her SiriusXM radio show “Gayle King in the House” that there was a plan to pull the plug to broadcast the interview on CBS if Philip were to succeed.
Gayle said: ‘Well, just so you know, they conducted the interview before Prince Philip entered the hospital. If something had happened to him, God forbid, the interview would not have taken place at this particular time. But the interview was finished and was scheduled before he entered the hospital. But many people have addressed it. ‘

Prince Philip was, of course, admitted to hospital in mid-February before the message leaked that his condition was far worse than the palace had acknowledged. He was struggling with an infection related to an existing heart condition, for which he was finally operated on.
He was discharge Tuesday … a little over a week after his grandson and Meghan went public claims of racism against the royal family.
