Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have hijacked peace talks with the monarchy by discussing private conversations with CBS ‘Gayle King – a move that the royal biographer condemned as a’ shocking breach of trust ‘, according to a report.
King (66) Tuesday openly discussed her weekend call with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and said they were still upset and frustrated and that Harry’s conversations with his father and brother were “not productive.”
Royal sources told the Mirror that the private talks openly discussed and used against it would ‘sound the alarm’.
“This type of behavior can have major consequences for trust between the camps moving forward,” the source said.
Royal biographer Penny Junor also told the newspaper that King’s unexpected revelations can only be expected to make other royals more vigilant in their approaches to repairing the royal rift.
“It’s a shocking breach of trust,” Junor said of the Sussexes repeating their private conversations to a TV journalist.
“The family will be worried that everything they say to Harry will end up on American television.”
According to Buckingham Palace sources, the monarchy will not play tit-for-tat and reveal negative news about reconciliation efforts.
“None of the households – the Queen, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – comment on private conversations,” a palace source told the Mirror.
