Bey and Megan have maintained a close friendship since their meeting during New Year’s Eve in 2020, which has continued to grow. Although they did not hang out as ordinary friends due to the coronavirus pandemic, the superstars have continued to grow close in recent years. So much so that Megan Beyoncé reaches out when she needs guidance.
The friendship between Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé began in early 2020 when the two met during a New Year’s Eve party hosted by the Halo singer and her husband Jay-Z.
During an interview with Variety in August 2020, the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ rapper opened up about the meeting and told that she and Bey hit it off right away.
“In the first five minutes of the conversation, I felt like I had known her all my life,” she told the publication. “She treated me like a family, and now I feel like a family. We talk all the time. ”
Megan even commemorated that night by sharing photos, Beyoncé, and the singer’s eldest daughter Blue Ivy of the party with her Instagram.
But the superstars do not stop crossing paths there.
A few months later, Beyoncé jumps to the remix of Megan’s hit song “Savage,” which is widely praised by listeners. The rapper even voiced the collaboration on Instagram live and told how amazing it was that she was able to work with the singer, who she and her deceased mother have always adored.

“It’s really crazy because my mom was a big fan of Beyoncé, and she made me watch a lot of Beyoncé’s stuff,” she said according to Access. “I did not want to like, ‘Oh my God, Beyoncé, me and my mom love you! ‘
Megan Thee Stallion has always looked up to Beyoncé
Even if it was only a matter of time before Megan and Beyoncé would cross paths, the rapper still could not believe she was part of the Formation singer’s inner circle.
While appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert In December 2020, the rapper “Cry Baby” said that she still had awe over the fact that she was good friends with Bey. She also revealed how much it means to her to be close to the singer.
‘I remember the first time I saw Destiny’s Child during a concert, it was at the rodeo, and it was just amazing. And I remember being a little kid like, ‘Wow! I want to do it one day, ” she said. And just from Houston, you need to know what Beyoncé means to us. She is like the standard. Because I can only talk to Beyoncé now, I’m like, ‘Girl! Knock on the back. ‘”
Megan Thee Stallion gets advice from Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Wishing Beyoncé was someone she always looked up to, Megan revealed that the singer is also one of the people she asks for advice.

‘I would say Jay-Z gives the nice advice. Say if I’m having a bad day, he’s going to be like, ‘Megan, girl, you need to ride the boat somewhere. Arrive. Come on, have a good time, ” she told Colbert. “Do you know what I’m saying? He gives me more advice on ‘hot girl’. ”
As for Queen Bey? “Beyoncé is like, ‘Look, Queen, just rising from the top,'” Megan said. “She says it the nicer way.”
