Megan Rapinoe responds to tribute to Alabama RB Najee Harris: ‘Hurdle someone for me’

The message from Najee Harris to Megan Rapinoe reached the star of the American women’s soccer team on Tuesday night.

Earlier in the day, running rugby in Alabama during a press conference ahead of the Rose Bowl performance for the first time against the Notre Dame on Friday explained why he was targeting Rapinoe.

“Really all the stuff she stands up for,” Harris said, according to AL.com. ‘She’s a feminist and how women, how women in the world are treated unfairly and how they are paid differently and differently than men. She stands up for all those things. I like how she does it. And of course, the social injustice that is there, she plays a role in all of that. ‘

Late Tuesday night, Rapinoe tweeted the video of Harris’ comments again with a message for the running rugby.

“Najeeeee Roll Tide !!!!! (did I do it right?) Be awesome, get those roses and hedge someone for me! she tweeted.

Alabama plays Notre Dame at 15:00 CT Friday in the Rose Bowl semifinal.

Harris is one of six Crimson Tide players named in the Associated Press All-America team. He joins quarterback Mac Jones, receiver DeVonta Smith, Alex Leatherwood, center Landon Dickerson and cornerback Patrick Surtain II. in the nation.
