MDH reports 40 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,534 new cases in the latest data from the last 2 days

According to MDH 199, of the 2 534 recently reported cases, probable cases are noted. A total of 13,348 probable cases have been reported since antigen testing began in September.

So far, 5,147 people have died from the coronavirus in Minnesota. Of the deaths, 154 are listed as probable COVID-19 deaths. Of the total deaths reported on Sunday, 3,322 were in long-term care settings.

To date, 21,315 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Minnesota and 4,527 patients have been in the ICU.

According to MDH, the new positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota reported Sunday have shifted the total from the state to 409,061 since the pandemic was recorded.

A total of 388,919 patients have recovered or are recovering and, according to MDH, are no longer needed to be isolated.

As of Sunday, more than 5.48 million COVID-19 tests have been completed in Minnesota.

According to MDH, as of Sunday, a total of COVID-19 vaccines administered in Minnesota are 2,999, with 2,997 being vaccinated by the Pfizer vaccine.
