Mayor Frank Jackson’s grandson in custody after Parma police chase

PARMA, Ohio – Frank Q. Jackson, grandson of Frank Jackson, mayor of Cleveland, was arrested Sunday morning after a police chase.

Police said they were trying to stop Frank Q. Jackson because the tint of his vehicle was too dark.

During the stop, they asked Jackson to get out of the vehicle.

An officer was trying to get hold of Jackson as he pulled away in his vehicle.

Officials said the officer was able to run the car before being released. He was not physically dragged or seriously injured during the incident.

Officers chased Jackson’s vehicle, where he was driving more than 100 km / h.

Police said they lost the vehicle after he left west on I-90 in Lorain Avenue.

Jackson dropped him off at Parma police station around 3am

Last week, a warrant was issued for his arrest for allegedly slapping his girlfriend in the face in an argument in December 2020.
