The doll was introduced to the public through social media posts shared through the brand’s verified accounts.
“Every big change starts with the belief that you can,” the Barbie Twitter account wrote on Wednesday. “Barbie is proud to honor Eleanor Roosevelt as the latest in the line of Inspiring Women. A lifelong humanitarian definition of the role of women in politics and public life.”
