In a recent letter, led by Representative Jimmy Panetta of California, more than two dozen House Democrats called on Biden to relinquish his sole power to release nuclear weapons. Gaetz stands against their position in a Wednesday night appearance in Fox News’ Hannity.
“I am against this letter because I believe that no matter who the president is, they should have the authority to be the commander – in – chief and take care of the country, even if it is Joe Biden during that time,” he said. he said. .
The Republican in Florida, a staunch ally of former President Donald Trump, also accused Biden of not having the mental capacity to run the country, saying the Democrats would deliberately elect him for this reason.

The former president mostly referred to Biden as “Sleepy Joe” to support his campaign’s attacks on the Democrat’s mental fitness. Gaetz calls the Democratic letter to extend responsibility for nuclear attacks, “all part of their plan.”
