Mass vaccinations in Clark County open Sunday at 12:00

Appointments for next week at the COVID-19 vaccination site in Clark County will open Sunday afternoon.

Those who are eligible to be vaccinated can make an appointment here.

At present, anyone aged 65 and over is eligible, as well as anyone aged 50 and over living in a multigenerational household. Healthcare workers, those living in elderly care facilities and emergency medical personnel are also eligible. To find out if you are eligible, you can visit the State Phase Finder tool.

If you need help making an appointment, you can call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127 and then press #. Language help is available. There are generally long waits for the hotline.

About 800 appointments are available each day at the Mass Vaccination Center at the Clark County Event Center on the Fairgrounds near Ridgefield. The website is open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 15:00 on Saturday.

In the first two weeks, 6,702 people received a vaccine dose on site. This is well above the originally expected rate of 500 vaccinations per day.

Many residents have experienced problems with the appointment portal to discuss vaccinations, such as the website slipping, freezing or crashing.

If you can not book an appointment at the fair, you can visit other places through the website of the Department of Health. Many places have little vaccine supply and it is difficult to book an appointment.

Some eligible people may have to wait a few weeks for a vaccine shot.
