Mass shooting reported in Texas industrial park

A gunman opened fire on an industrial park in Texas on Thursday – according to local reports, he wounded at least six people before escaping and hunting.

According to the local station KBTX, some of the injured were in a critical condition.

The firearm broke out at about 2.30pm in the city offices of Kent Moore Cabinets in the city of Bryan, just outside the Texas A&M University between Austin and Houston.

The suspect was identified by a witness, and police in the area are now trying to locate the gunman, the newspaper said.

There were reports of a police raid with shots fired at 3.30pm near the town of Iola, 30 minutes from the crime scene, reports The Eagle. It is unclear whether the incidents are related.

The shooting, according to the local station, took place near a high school, which was temporarily locked up.
