All three of the games in the original Mass Effect trilogy have received striking visual upgrades in Mass Effect Legendary Edition, but this is especially the first title that sounds more and more like it had a real overhaul. BioWare has released new comparison screens taken from the upcoming remaster, this time featuring a much improved Commander Shepard.
As you can see, the ‘canon’ female Shepard from Mass Effect 3 is now fully integrated into Mass Effect (as well as Mass Effect 2). This is because the creation of characters in all three games is united in Legendary Edition. But even male Shepard looks much more dynamic this time around, and obviously the whole package will benefit from improved textures, lighting and different visual effects.
