When Paula Abdul returned to the Fox network this year as a judge on The masked dancer, became an old school every Wednesday American Idol nostalgia party, as her ex-Idol co-star Randy Jackson also appeared on Fox’s the same night Name that tune. Paula was not at all shocked by this unmasking. Like the Masked dancers panel’s smartest vibeologist, she suspected that the exotic bird was the “amazing and incredible” Jordin a few weeks ago. ‘They told me you were going to be here, and I was like’ Paula knows me! Speaking of opposing attractions, the four remaining participants in flora and fauna – the Cotton Candy, Tulip, Zebra and Lazy – have little in common, other than a desire to win that Diamond Mask trophy within a few weeks. Let’s judge their latest shows and keep the mystery going.
The Tulip
This cute seam of this flower from “My Boyfriend’s Back” once again shows her versatility, the ability to record any form of choreography and her sweet personality. “You had comedy, you had fun, you had heart and you had skills,” Ken said. If there’s anyone in the top four who’s actually a dancer by profession, it’s this contestant with the star stalks.
The clues: We see iced coffee, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a potato chip bag from a family. She revealed that she had been acting all her life, and her oral clue was ‘lifelong achievement’ (expressed in a very youthful voice). Previous clues included references to Instagram and TikTok, a “second annual mother-daughter dance”, the acronym “ALDC” and the words “frozen” and “princess”.
Judges’ guesses: Liza Koshy, Haylie Duff, Jamie Lynn Spears.
My guesses: OK, this is completely social media maven Mackenzie Ziegler – star of the Lifetime series In mammas (Abby Lee Dance Company = “ALDC”) and the movie Ice Princess Lily, younger sister of Maddie Ziegler, and well-known iced coffee and PB&J consumer. Some of the judges were on the right track when they suspected it was a famous sister, but they went with the wrong families.
The zebra
Although this striped superstar was not technically perfect, he was surprisingly light on his hooves. And no one could say he did not commit to a song by the exotic bird’s famous ex, Jason Derulo. “You may not be the best dancer, but you always have the most fun,” notes reviewer Brian Austin Green.

My guess: I have previously speculated that the sloth is one of the previous American Idol contestant Todrick Hall or David Lee Roth, former lead singer of Van Halen, with little confidence in any guess. I’m starting to think it might be a real trained dancer, maybe a Dancing With The Stars pro veteran, and try to cast viewers of the lazy’s scent with his excessive amateur antics. I would therefore tentatively guess that it was Max Chmerkovskiy, who collaborated with Amber Rose DWTS and can speak English, Russian and Ukrainian. But if it’s Max, judging by his Sloth alter ego, he could have a second industry in comedy. He is hilarious!
The Cotton Candy
The sweet hip-hop / ballet routine of this candy girl was pure Swan Lake swag. The creative choreo (which started behind the scenes in the wings before making the jump to the main stage), perfect pirouettes, lithe leg extensions and high jumps were all the hallmarks of a competitive athlete in top form. “You’re the one who has to knock now,” Ken declared.
The clues: We saw a red, white and blue scarf, a superhero cape and a gold watch, and her oral clue was ‘prayer’. Clues in the past included more gold (especially five gold rings), lips, many mentions of the word “ice” and the fact that she came into the public eye at a young age.
Judges’ guesses: Tara Lipinski, Julianne Hough, Kristi Yamaguchi, Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Hayden Panettiere.
My guess: With all the Olympic and icy references, added to the new ‘prayers’ clue, I have to keep thinking it’s American skate gold medalist and dedicated Catholic Tara Lipinski. And she’s really going for the gold this season – this competition is from her or from the Tulip to lose.
