Fans of Marvel’s Avengers just want one thing, and it’s going to be a reality soon. No, it is not a meaningful outing, nor is it a newfound surplus to engaging activities. Look, well, maybe Avengers fans want more than one thing, but next week lands a big thing: you will finally be able to play the campaign.
As spotted by Game Informer, developer Crystal Dynamics announced the expected change in a recent “War Table” stream. It will be part of next week’s big game update, which will also take place proposal Clint Barton – the very good Avenger-on-arrows – in the playlist. You keep your leveling and your equipment. Pour one out for the early game robots, who will surely suffer a worse fate thanks to high level unibeam fractures.
Marvel’s Avengers undoubtedly has a rocky six months, especially due to a lack of repeatable content plus a series of delays, including the following versions. The game’s campaign is probably the strongest part of the game, but once completed, there is no way to perform the missions again. An opportunity to run through it again is a blessing.
G / O Media can get a commission
In addition to the ability to play the campaign, next week’s update will also include the release of dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of Marvel’s Avengers, what was slow down last October. Crystal Dynamics has the specifications of the versions in a blog post earlier today.
People who already own the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can upgrade within the same console family at no extra cost (so PS4 to PS5 is fine, but PS4 to Xbox Series S is not). You can also match generations. This is no surprise, but the following versions offer visual enhancements, including 4K footage on PS5 and Xbox Series X. (It will be a maximum of 1440p on Xbox Series S.)
According to Game Informer, next week’s update will also introduce a new biome, a new villain and a new storyline (Hawkeye’s), as well as the adaptation of the HARM room, the practice space in the game with which you can make waves of increasingly difficult enemies fight. It will take a heroic effort to save Marvel’s Avengersno doubt, but this update – the biggest since the game’s launch last fall – may just be enough to get players back on track.
