Marvel’s Avengers is the straw that broke the camel’s back with PS4 to PS5 upgrades

Marvel's Avengers PS5 PlayStation 5

Marvel’s Avengers, a poor ol ‘, just can not take a breather, right? This week was supposed to be his big next generation, with new Hawkeye content to be released. Instead, all one can talk about is how bad the PlayStation 5 upgrade procedure is. For the record, we think the hyperbole shared on social media is unpleasantly too high, but this is clearly an area that Sony can and should improve.

In defense of Square Enix, we had no problem getting the PS5 version on the PS Store and download it – which is more than can be said for Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, both of which were mistaken during the launch for existing PS4 owners. The biggest problem for Marvel’s Avengers – or certainly the thing the internet’s goat has – is the way files are transferred.

For those who have played games like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, it’s a familiar process: you upload your savings from the PS4 version and download it to the PS5 version. Clearly it needs to be much cleaner – Xbox Series X | S automatically conveys your progress – but we feel that people who see it as a kind of breaking procedure are fascinated.

Nevertheless, there have been a few updates to the PS5 firmware for a long time, which have clearly gotten hot. Overall, we are pleased with many of the features and functions of Sony’s next generation console; it has only a few peculiarities that it can do to become smooth. We are confident that the system will be in a very neat place by the end of the year – make sure you set aside a few extra minutes to transfer your PS4 in the meantime, unless you plan to play Marvel’s Avengers play. .
