Baron Zemo’s dance moves finally got the hourly treatment they deserved.
In last week’s episode of The falcon and the winter soldier, Baron Zemo, the murderous villain of Captain American: Winter Soldier returned to help the show’s main duo in a kind of enemy-of-my-enemy situation. At some point, the Baron has to merge with Madripoor’s elite, that’s when he does a dance that immediately became a meme.
Zemo’s dance moves immediately spread on the internet from Twitter to TikTok. It is the perfect blend of captivating – at least as endearing as terrorists can kill Wakandan royals – and foolish. Plus, Daniel Brühl’s face during the whole thing is absolutely priceless.
While the piece that appeared in the episode lasted only a few seconds, Brühl slipped in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that there is secretly much more footage of his performances on the dance floor. Luckily, Disney did not keep the footage locked forever, and gave us a beautiful, weird, one-hour cut from everyone Zemo’s best moves.
Sure, maybe it’s a little weird that he’s definitely one of the MCU’s leading terrorists. Did Baron Zemo blow up the United Nations? Kind of. Can he come off? Undoubtedly. If this is the energy you are looking for, you now have a full hour to it. I’m unhappy about this.
