Martha Stewart, 79, says she was “p **** d” that her probation officer would not allow her to host Saturday Night Live after her 2004 arrest.

Martha Stewart remembers being very unhappy because she could not host on Saturday Night Live.

The 79-year-old media personality recently sat down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar and talked about the circumstances surrounding her 2004 arrest.

The television host specifically mentioned that she had only one regret from the period, and that she was not allowed to present the long sketch comedy program.

She blamed the ban on her probation officer, who she said would “not give the time”.

Stewart regrets the missed opportunity and notes that she is very upset about the decision of her probation officer.

‘It really put me off, because I would have loved to have watched Saturday Night Live. I would like to have it in my CV, ‘she explained.

The legal problems of the reality television personality stem from an incident in 2002 in which she trades in insider trading.

Thereafter, she became involved in a much-publicized trial and resigned from various corporate positions she previously held.

Stewart was eventually convicted of conspiracy and false statements to federal investigators, including charges.

The businesswoman spent five months in jail and thereafter a two-year suspended sentence was imposed, a portion of which was served under house protection.

During the interview, she expressed that her life had changed effectively throughout the whole affair, and noted that she did not look back on the period as a particularly easy time.

Stewart said: ‘I knew I was going to come in strong and come out stronger … It was a very serious event in my life. I take it very seriously. ‘

The designer also said that although she not only had bad feelings over the period, the whole experience would change her for the rest of her life.

‘I’m not bitter about it, but … My daughter knows all the problems that followed. There are many, ‘she remarks.

Stewart concluded the interview with a piece of advice she wanted to give to readers of the article.

‘I’ve said it so many times, but take your life into your own hands. Do not let other people lead you. Know what you want. I really believe in that, ‘she said.
