Mark Cuban would be ‘only’ candidate for this reason in 2024

Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, did not exactly rule out a presidential candidate in 2024, but said at this point he is not the right man for the job.

Cuban told Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson podcast Wednesday it will depend if he thinks he is the “right person” for the job.

‘Based on everything I know now, no. But I mean, like you said, when things go south, it depends on how it goes south and how far south and whether I thought I would be the right person. I would not do it just to do it. I will only do this if I think I am the right person. We have time, so there are a lot of other qualified people out there, ‘Cuban told Robinson.

Cuban has flirted with the presidential candidate in the last two election cycles. He said in May 2016 that he would ‘absolutely’ consider being Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton’s running mate and at the time did not rule out a run for 2020 or 2024. Finally, he supports Clinton in 2016 and President Biden in 2020.

Cuban told WFAA-TV in May that his family had voted against him because of the tension of the campaign. He repeated the idea earlier this month on David Axelrod’s podcast. He added that an opinion pollster had told him that he “dominated the independent vote, but I could only get 25%.”

He told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity in June that he would support Biden in the presidential race and that the former vice president “wants to run a country”.
