At a press conference outside the Capitol on Friday, Greene said Thursday night’s vote to remove her from the House Budget Committee and the House’s Education and Labor Committee was not fair to her voters.
“Freedom of speech really matters, and yesterday, when the Democrats and 11 of my Republican colleagues decided to deprive me of my committee assignments – Education and Labor and the Budget Committee – do you know what they did? “They actually robbed my district of their vote,” Greene told reporters.
“I’m fine with being kicked out of committees because it will waste my time,” Greene said, claiming that her and her district’s conservative values will not be heard on the panels by her Democratic colleagues.
“Committee work would be fruitless under the ‘tyrannically controlled government’, in which President Joe Biden promotes certain aspects of his policy agenda through executive orders and House President Nancy Pelosi, D-California,” leads Democrats to do what they want, “Greene said. and added, “They do not care what Republicans have to say.”
