Mario Lopez says he ‘linked’ to former co-star Dustin Diamond, ‘Saved by the Bell’, after a Diamond spokesman revealed on Thursday that the actor had been admitted to hospital with stage 4 cancer.
Lopez shared his news on Instagram Thursday night, along with some photos, including one from their time on “Saved by the Bell” and another more recent photo.

‘I contacted Dustin earlier tonight and although the news of his diagnosis is heartbreaking, we remain positive that he will overcome it. Pray for him and his family and to recover quickly. God bless, ”he wrote.
Diamond, 44, was admitted to hospital earlier this week. It was not specified at the time that he had cancer.
“It’s serious, but we do not yet know how serious it is. He’s going to test. He did not feel well,” a spokesman said. ‘He’s in an unknown hospital in Florida. We hope for a speedy recovery. ‘
It is not clear what type of cancer Diamond has.
