On Wednesday, Nintendo outlined the next six months of Switch games during the Nintendo Direct keynote address, and the first major unveiling of the Japanese gaming giant is a new Mario game: Mario Golf Super Rush. It’s not far off either, as Nintendo has announced that the game will hit the Nintendo Switch on June 25th.
A preview shown at Nintendo Direct, a major test in which the company announces the next six months of Switch games, showed how the Joy-Con’s motion controls can be used to swing your club and some of the modes involved. There is a Multiplayer Speed Golf mode, in which you and three other players race on the same course to lower your golf ball first. And there’s a story mode in which your Mii increases the range from rookie to golf professor.

This is the latest sporting adventure for Mario on the Switch, after the Tennis Aces of 2018 and the Mario & Sonic of 2019 at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. It is also the third time Mario’s track on the track, after the NES Open Tournament Golf (1987) and the N64’s Mario Golf (1999).
This is one of the many announcements made on Wednesday at Nintendo Direct, including the a Switch remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Splatoon 3 and the inclusion of Pyra and Mytrha from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
