Marilyn Manson has removed the role of ‘American God’, ‘Creepshow’, due to allegations of abuse

Marilyn Manson has been removed from two television shows after actress Evan Rachel Wood and four other women emerged on Monday with the abuse of the rocker.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, issued a statement Monday denying the allegations, citing Woods’ allegations of sexual and physical abuse against him as “horrific distortion.”

Starz announced Monday that he is “unequivocally” standing with all victims and survivors of abuse, and therefore he has removed the upcoming episode of his series “American Gods” with Manson.

“Due to the allegations against Marilyn Manson, we have decided to remove his actions from the remaining episode in which he is, which will be broadcast later this season,” the network confirmed in the verified Twitter account of the TV show.

Manson played a recurring role during the third season of the show, with the shock-rocker appearing in an episode Sunday night, Entertainment Weekly reported.

In addition, AMC’s Shudder Manson, 52, dropped out of an upcoming installment of the “Creepshow” series, a network representative confirmed to Fox News. Each ‘Creepshow’ episode is broadcast in two parts, and while Manson’s first segment has been aired before, the second will be replaced with him.

Wood, who was previously engaged to Manson in 2010, posted her accusations on Instagram Monday morning, claiming the rocker had ‘brainwashed and manipulated’ her during their relationship.

He has since been fired from his record label, Loma Vista Recordings.

“The Beautiful People” musician issued a denial on his own Instagram.

“Obviously my art and my life have been magnets for controversy all along, but these recent allegations about me are terrible distortions of reality,” he said. “My intimate relationships have always been completely one-sided with like-minded partners.”

He concluded: “No matter how – and why – others now choose to misrepresent the past, it is the truth.”

After Wood shared her own allegations, at least four other women posted their own allegations against Manson in evidence of solidarity, Vanity Fair reported. The women allege that they endured ‘sexual assault, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation’. Manson has denied similar allegations in the past.

Wood apparently met that Manson was she was 18 and he was 36.

In 2018, a police report was filed against Manson for unspecified sex crimes dating back to 2011, The Hollywood Reporter revealed. However, the district attorney dismissed the case, saying the statute of limitations had expired and an “absence of confirmation”. Manson’s attorney, Howard E. King, Esq., Also denied the claims in the outlet.

Manson is known as one of the most eccentric figures of rock music because of his unique appearance and mysterious, ghostly persona. He has been nominated for four Grammy Awards in the metal categories.

He has also worked as an actor, including in ‘American Gods’ and ‘Sons of Anarchy’.
