Carey just added a little more shrinkage and then asked what the noise was in the background, forcing Cohen to respond that it was Jennifer Lopez’s performance for the evening.
Carey, whose alleged feud with Lopez recalls her feeling that Lopez copied her ‘Loverboy’ with ‘I’m Real’, kept a steady smile on her face.
The situation is addressed obliquely in Carey’s recent memoirs, in which a female entertainer on [Sony’s] label (which I do not know), ‘an interlude that even refers to her famous interview reaction of’ I do not know her ‘to a question about Lopez.
