This fortune cookie lived up to its name.
Ernesto Sorzano’s Chinese takeaway paid off when, according to UPI, he played the set of lucky numbers in his fortune cookie on a Powerball ticket in North Carolina.
Sorzano said he used the numbers when he bought a $ 3 power play ticket – and they ended up costing four of the winning points and costing him $ 500,000.

The Florida resident – who is moving to Huntersville, NC – told the news agency he will use his profits to buy a new home there.
“It was a good investment,” Sorzano said of his dinner for rice and shrimp, plus dessert cookie.
“Amazing. I’m so glad my dreams came true,” he said.

Sorzano took $ 353,751 home after tax on Monday, the report said.
According to lottery officials, the chance of winning a Powerball jackpot is 1 in 292 million.
