SIOUX COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) – Two people were sent to hospital near Orange City, Iowa, on Friday morning after an accident with two vehicles.
The Sioux County sheriff says around 10 a.m. a tractor driven by 41-year-old Joshua Sievers of Le Mars was driving south on Iowa on Highway 60 when his vehicle was hit by an SUV.
The sheriff says the SUV, driven by 26-year-old Jodie Huju of Sioux City, hit the tractor from behind on the driveway.
During the accident, the tractor overturned to the side and Sievers was put out of the vehicle.
Both drivers were transported to a hospital in Orange City for treatment of their injuries. Sievers was later flown to a Sioux Falls hospital for further treatment.
Huju was quoted as following too close to the tractor.
The accident is still being investigated.
