Man seen in Iowa pursuing police officer in Capitol riots video arrested

A 41-year-old Iowa man was arrested Saturday on charges of being part of a Trump-backed mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday.

Doug Jensen of Des Moines turned out to be the man in front of a crowd that entered the Capitol and chased a black police officer up stairs in several videos of the riot, including one posted by HuffPost Reporter Igor Bobic.

Jensen was wearing a black Q-Anon T-shirt and black cap as he chased the officer up the stairs and into a lobby, where other officers confronted the intruders. His face appears in a photo series released by the FBI on Thursday.

In a recently removed TikTok video, which was posted under the username @dougjensen on Thursday, a man who is apparently Jensen suggested that he become a ‘poster boy’ for what happened and ends by saying: “Do not the news does not believe, “Associated Press reports.

According to a news release from the FBI’s field office in Omaha, Nebraska and the sheriff in Polk County, he was charged early Saturday on five federal charges, including trespassing and disorderly charges.
