Man offered COVID-19 vaccine early to medical records List height over 6.2 centimeters

A journalist in England mistakenly presented the COVID-19 vaccine early after an administrative error listed his height in his medical records at only 6.2 centimeters.

Liam Thorp, the six-meter-long political editor of the Liverpool Echo, is wrongly regarded as a body mass index of 28,000 and therefore listed as vulnerable.

Thorp, 32, and without underlying health conditions, recalls the amusing mingling in a viral Twitter thread and column published Wednesday. He also revealed how he now turned down the shot.

Thorp said he was “really surprised” that he offered the coronavirus jab, given how it is currently spreading to the UK at age 65.

He made an appointment, ‘under the impression that a vaccine should be offered, you should always accept’, but felt increasingly uncomfortable about his apparent leap from the line.

Thorp asked his surgeon if there was a mistake, he said before taking “one of the strangest calls in my life”.

According to health personnel, his height was administered as 6.2 centimeters instead of six feet two, about 188 centimeters.

“The man’s nervous tone laughed when I made a joke about the fact that I put on weight and lost a considerable length during the lockout,” Thorp recalls. “If I were less stunned, I would have asked why no one cares anymore about a man of these remarkable dimensions swaying south of Liverpool.”
