The coroner in Orange County is investigating the death of a health worker in Santa Ana after receiving his second dose of coronavirus.

According to the OC Register, Tim Zook, 60, an X-ray technician at South Coast Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, has an upset stomach and breathing problems before going to the hospital.
Zook’s blood pressure soon dropped and he was transferred to UC Irvine Medical Center. “On Friday I called, ‘His kidneys failed. He needs to dialyze. If not, he could die – but there is also a chance he could have a heart attack or stroke due to his blood pressure. low, ” his wife, Rochelle Zook, told the OC Register.
While his COVID-19 tests were negative, his wife says he had high blood pressure, but that he treated it with medication, and that she did not blame the pharmaceutical company.
A Pfizer-BioNTech spokesman told the OC Register that the company was “aware of Zook’s death and was thoroughly reviewing the matter.”
“Our immediate thoughts are with the grieving family,” the company said in an email to the OC Register. “We closely monitor all such events and gather relevant information to share with global regulators. Based on ongoing safety reviews conducted by Pfizer, BioNTech and healthcare authorities, (the vaccine) maintains a positive benefit-risk profile for the prevention of “COVID-19 infections. Serious side effects, including non-vaccine-related deaths, will unfortunately occur at a similar rate as in the general population.”
