Man accusing Rams’ Aaron Donald of assault apologizes after video shows he broke the fight, lawyer says

A lawyer representing the man, who accused Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles star of a brutal assault outside a nightclub in Pittsburgh, apologized to the footballer after a video of the meeting showed Donald jumping in. has to break the fight.

Attorney Todd Hollis told KDKA on Friday that his client, De’Vincent Spriggs, had mistaken Donald as someone else.

The apology comes shortly after Donald’s attorney, Casey White, said his client was never the attacker and that he saved Spriggs from “further injury” after being attacked by a group of people.

White claims Spriggs swung a bottle in his hand over the weekend and grazed the top of Donald outside Pittsburgh’s Boom Boom Room nightclub, prompting others to pull Donald away. Others came to his defense and attacked Spriggs.

“Aaron then breaks free from the restraints … he then goes to the pile where this melee takes place and he starts tearing people down and protecting Mr. Spriggs,” White explained. “He actually saved Mr. Spriggs of further injury. ‘

“There’s not much else left to be honest with you because he’s not being assaulted by Aaron Donald, he’s actually being rescued by Aaron Donald,” White added. “Mr. Spriggs should write a thank you note to Aaron Donald.”

Spriggs claims he suffered a concussion, a broken nose, a broken eye socket, an arm injury and that he needed 16 stitches near his eye after being attacked. Hollis told KDKA that they did not intend to be involved against anyone involved.
