Maine CDC reports seven more COVID-19 deaths, with total cases top 25,000

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) – Another seven Mainers have died from coronavirus as the Maine CDC reports another 343 cases.

Total deaths in Maine rise to 358.

The additional deaths reported on Saturday are:

  • A woman in her 80s from Cumberland County
  • A man in his 70s from Cumberland County
  • A man in his 70s from Cumberland County
  • A woman in her 80s from Cumberland County
  • A man in his 60s from Cumberland County
  • A woman in her 70s from Cumberland County
  • A woman in her 90s from York County

Overall cases stand at 25,245 and 21,412 are confirmed.

A spokesman for the Maine CDC said that due to some computer problems, the case was not made available to every state.

The new case numbers for Saturday represent a change over the past two days.

According to the Maine CDC, recovery numbers are out of date, so we are no longer able to accurately report active cases. Instead, we offer you new case numbers for each country.

As of Saturday, 32,090 people have been vaccinated.

The Department of Health and Human Services says the state also placed its fifth order Thursday for more doses.

According to the order, another 17,075 Mainers could be vaccinated against the virus.
