Key features

  • Walk your own path Aircraft passengers will have to cross different planes to save the Magic Multiverse, but how they weave their way depends on them.
  • Control the chaos Players make quick, tactical decisions on the battlefield in real time, while strategically building a game of spells from the game library, which will be drawn at random during battle. Open Beta for Magic: legends introduces five unique start-up classes from Planeswalkers, with additional classes available later:

  • The Geomancer use the power of the Earth to knock down enemies in the vicinity with devastating rock and lava attacks. They are able to take up blows that would otherwise make other Planeswalkers unfit with their rock shield. Geomancers prefer to summon creatures such as goblins, guavas and earth elements.
  • The Mind Mage personalized cool intellect. As a Planeswalker focusing on psychic forces, they can fight enemies at a safe distance, by controlling projectiles with telekinetic forces, and capturing dangerous enemies with spells that put them to sleep or block against their allies.
  • The Beastcaller is the embodiment of force majeure and cruelty. They can defeat hordes of enemies on the battlefield with crushing blows from a massive spirit ax while coordinating attacks with an Aether Fox companion and other called animals.
  • The Sanctifier is as skilled at hitting enemies with light bolts as repairing the wounds of fallen comrades. This class can summon angels, paladins, and those dedicated to order for protection in battle, while squandering enemies with righteous light.
  • The Necromancer use deadly rituals to destroy enemies and make them dead for their own purposes. This class uses its unique connection with death to tear life out of the living and weaken the power of enemies with terrible curses.

In addition, players will explore five different regions in four planes, taken directly from the Magic: The Gathering map sets:

  • Shiv – A volcanic island on the level of Dominaria – inhabited by Ghitu tribes, goblins, ogres and dragons.
  • Benalia A church state state on the plane of Dominaria, where rolling plains meet dark swamps. The Benale people are at war with the Cabal fanatics and their demons.
  • Tazeem The jungle continent at the level of Zendikar, with mystical Hedron rocks, massive trees and lush rivers – inhabited by merfolk, elves and a multitude of wild creatures.
  • Tolaria A tropical academy on the plane of Dominaria – teeming with prospective wizards, Homeric animals and artifact constructions.
  • Gavony A province on the plane of Innistrad, where the settlements and villagers are constantly attacked by werewolves and the dead.

Players will also harness the power of their Spark to build on their own personal fragment of the Meditation realm – an ever-changing level of mysterious origins and countless secrets that an unknown master serves.
