LVHN launches mass vaccinations at Dorney Park on 27 January for 75 and older | Lehigh Valley Regional News

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. Lehigh Valley Health Network has said it will begin vaccinations with COVID-19 at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom on Wednesday, January 27th.

LVHN will vaccinate 75 years and older, and only those with an appointment. The transit clinic is held from 08:00 to 16:00. The vaccination is free.

According to LVHN, 75-year-olds and older are requested to use MyLVHN to institute a vaccination themselves. Those who already have an account will be notified to set up a vaccination. Those who want to register for MyLVHN can visit the LVHN website and click on “Register” at the top of the page. Once enrolled, these people will also receive a notification to schedule an appointment. People can also call 833-LVHN-CVD (833-584-6283).

The ability to schedule an appointment depends on the delivery of available vaccine at LVHN, which is determined by the state, according to a news release for the health network.

LVHN has said it will continue to expand its mass vaccination program. Sites in the counties of Northampton and Monroe are being established in partnership with local health bureaus and authorities. People need an appointment to receive the vaccine at all LVHN sites, including the mass vaccination sites, where the health network said they expect to vaccinate at least 5,000 people a day when adequate vaccine is available.

LVHN says that even after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, people still have to wear a mask in public, wash their hands regularly and stay socially distant until the majority of the community is vaccinated.
